I like to make my denim outfits as realistic as possible. You'll find that they are top-stitched in a gold color thread just like real jeans and jean skirts. I use a lightweight denim so that it's not too stiff for this scale of dolls. Also, the denim colors may vary a little bit but I always try for a medium or darker shade of blue when shopping for fabric for Barbie and Ken jeans items.
