Barbie mini dress is sporting that cool sixties retro look. It's made
from a cotton calico print, red with tiny white dots, and closes in back
with hook and loop. The bow on the front is tied carefully and is
actually sewn down to the bodice before I sew this Barbie mini dress
together. I have been using a white bow because it shows up much better
against the red background. The red bow on the pictured dress sort of
gets lost.
As a fun contrast and to make the white mini dots stand out more, I also sew a serged white edge around the armholes and neck. It's a little hard to see but although this pictured dress is serged in red, yours will be serged in white. Unlike my other retro style dresses, this Barbie mini dress is not lined. For a lined version, please check the box when ordering.
Barbie likes wearing this mini dress out shopping or on dates with Ken especially in the summer since it's cool and comfortable. It may be a retro look but it blends in perfectly with the rest of her extensive wardrobe. If you would like a different color print than the red shown, please message me and if I end up getting enough interest, I will include other prints eventually for this dress. I have a navy with white pin dot print which would also look nice made into the Barbie mini dress.
