Barbie's
dress shown here, a puff sleeve that can be dressy or casual,
features a drop-waist bodice with on or off-shoulder puff sleeves and a
2-tier ruffled skirt. It's pictured here in a small strawberry print.
The top ruffle and the skirt hem have serged rolled hems and the dress
closes in back with hook and loop.
Note: This is an off-shoulder look since I cannot control how it will fit every individual doll. It will stay up on some of my dolls and others, the sleeves slip down. If this look bothers you, I can make you a strawberry print dress in another style such as the Barbie summer retro dress, just let me know.

This strawberry print was made for a local strawberry festival but the sky's the limit with this Barbie puff sleeve dress when it comes to different prints. There are so many pretty petite prints available. If you have a suggestion for one other than the strawberry, please feel free to email me and let me know. I have made this dress from fabric that people have sent in and it literally makes up great using any small scale print. I just added a Valentine print option. Stay tuned for more print options or I might make separate pages for holiday prints such as the Valentine hearts which could have its own page like the Barbie Irish shamrock dress or the Barbie Easter dress.
Do you have a particular piece of fabric that would look great made into this Barbie doll dress? Maybe it's a beautiful vintage piece or something that your daughter has a dress made from. If you can mail me the fabric, I can sew it together for you for less than what is listed here. Having Barbie doll clothes made from one of Grandma's vintage fabric pieces would be a wonderful way to always remember her. My mom always made my Barbie clothes from scraps of what she made for herself or for me when I was little.
