Barbie gown makes her look like the southern belle of the ball.
It is made from satin and you can choose either the lavender pictured, the peach color gown that I traditionally was making or other colors as well. The skirt is circular and is trimmed in lace at the bodice and hem. A net slip goes underneath to show off the skirt's fullness. Bodice closes in back with Velcro. The gown is pictured on a Barbie classic body but I can make it fit a newer body doll. Just indicate body size in the shopping cart pull-down.
Completing the look is a sinamay hat trimmed in satin ribbon and a matching rosette, for that southern belle effect. Lace trim may vary due to availability as may the hats--if I am out of sinamay you may receive a different type brimmed hat. Any type of hat will be trimmed in matching ribbon and rosette and will look nice with Barbie's southern belle gown.
Now all Barbie needs is her special gentleman to sit with her under a tree and enjoy a picnic lunch. Barbie is a little more faithful to her man than Scarlett O'Hara was, so she will be waiting for Ken to show up. But she does enjoy a little harmless flirting with the other handsome men at the picnic. I don't specialize in actual costumes for dolls but my mom can make you a Ken tux that would go well with Barbie in her southern belle gown.

Your Barbie Southern belle gown in peach satin will arrive with tissue paper packed under the skirt to minimize wrinkles. However, it is very easy to get any travel wrinkles out of it by pressing it on the wrong side, using medium steam and a pressing cloth.
