Barbie is all ready to go to work or church in this summer dress made from cotton calico. With its elbow-length sleeves, she'll still stay cool and pretty. She can't wait to meet Ken for lunch at the little sidewalk cafe'. They are both on a business trip in Paris and her cool little dress feels just wonderful. The longer sleeves make it nice when she's at her office in the air conditioning, just right and not too cold!
This Barbie summer dress closes in back with hook and loop. It has a very decent length skirt and I will also make a half slip for it as well. I am currently using a lavender print, either lavender buds on white or completely lavender with buds. When those run out I will of course find more petite print fabric.
This is another dress in the small collection that I did for a customer who was very interested in modest Barbie clothes. Each modest Barbie dress was specially made so that the skirts wouldn't be too short and they all have higher necks and elbow-length sleeves. As always, Barbie and her shoes are not included. The Barbie modeling this dress has the newer body style so if you have an older doll that measures 5 1/2 inches around the fullest part of the chest, be sure and tell me in the shopping cart. There are 2 sizes of newer body, 4 1/2 inch bustline and 5 inch bustline as you'll see when you get to the pulldown in the shopping cart. Are you ready to buy your Barbie a new summer dress now?
