Guidelines for my Link Partners:
Most links in this section will open in a new window so that you can easily write your email and see what information you need to send. When you contact Barbee and Friends , please give me your link info and the category you wish to be listed in. You can view the Arts & Crafts Directory category page and select a category. Some categories are still currently empty. Maybe yours will be the first.

Keep in mind, I reserve the right to approve your site. I do receive and turn down obviously non-relevant sites quite often. Barbee & Friends is a handcrafted site and I am mostly looking for other crafters who want to link with me. I prefer for you to have your links set up as a directory like I have, which means you have categories and no more than 20 links per page. This can only help you in the search engines. By having categories and limiting the number of sites per page, you are benefiting both of us--and you won't look like a link farm.

In other words, do not assume that I want to be everyone's link partner, because I turn down more than I take. I especially don't like automated requests! If your links are done with an automated system, please don't even bother asking me because you will not receive a reply. If you don't receive a reply from me, you may assume I have chosen not to link with you. I get many site requests that have no place on my Barbie clothes site that is geared towards parents and young children. If you wouldn't want your child to see it, then don't ask me to link with it.

If you are already a link partner and have any changes in your links whatsoever, please be courteous and let me know about it. No one likes dead links floating around in cyberspace. Also if you would like to change your description around a little, I can do that for you.

Don't forget to choose a category! And please let me email you my info instead of pulling some random sentences off my site. To explain a little further on that:

I know this isn't quite as handy, as some sites have their info right there for you to use for linking. But I like to change my copy around so that it won't look like duplicate content to the search engines. I could include several paragraphs here but I'd never know if people were just coincidentally using the same one. So if you don't mind, I would prefer you to email me and I'll personally send you the info along with the text description I'd like to use. I would rather you didn't cut and paste the description from other sites for the same reason I stated above. Thanks for your understanding in this!
