Due to the overwhelming popularity of this site, I am no longer accepting any special (custom) orders for Barbie and her friends and family. I am deeply grateful to all of you customers who have helped my site become the success that it is. It is because of the volume of regular business, that I will no longer be able to accept special orders. But the good news is the the regular business has increased tremendously so thank you very much for your support--Barbee and Friends will be around for many years to come! I am already selling to people's grandchildren--these same people used to buy from me for their children.

I would like to introduce you to Barbee's new sister site, Kitt's Kloset, which is dedicated to handmade American Girl doll clothes. I have purchased a nice amount of shoes, socks and tights too so I can offer these accessories in addition to the handmade clothes there. I am thinking of adding a few other pre-made items for your shopping convenience, very similar to how I added the Barbie Bra and Panty sets here at Barbee and Friends. Sometimes the basics are hard to keep up with so I may add undies, slips and maybe even solid t-shirts at Kitt's someday.

Don't worry, I have no intentions of abandoning Barbie and the sale of my handmade Barbie clothes. In fact, I just added some new items this spring and have more planned. I just wanted to diversify a little and make clothes for 18 inch dolls using my own collection of American Girl dolls for models. I enjoy sewing for the American Girl dolls very much because it gives me an excuse to play with mine by trying the outfits on them. And you know the old "don't put all your eggs in one basket" saying! Pretty much any store out there became the good store that it is by having more than just one type of product.

Barbie and her pals are more than happy for me to take on another venture like this especially when they know that I will keep sewing for them and that I have my Mom helping me whenever she can. After all, Barbie and American Girl Dolls are technically sisters--they are made by the same great company!
