Another news item. As of March 2011 I am happy to be able to let you
know that Barbee & Friends and Kitt's Kloset now accept American Express for
payment. You no longer *have* to use PayPal in order to use your Amex card
with me. Although PayPal is definitely still welcomed. More payment options
for buying Barbie clothes is always a good thing!

I would like to introduce you to Barbee's new sister site, Kitt's Kloset, which is dedicated to
handmade American Girl doll clothes.
I have purchased a nice amount of shoes, socks and tights too so I can offer
these accessories in addition to the handmade clothes there. I have added
some pre-made items for your shopping convenience, very
similar to how I added the
Barbie Bra and Panty sets
here at Barbee and Friends. Sometimes the basics are hard to keep up with so
that is the reason for the quality manufactured items I offer at Kitt's.
Never fear, the majority of the items are handmade by me, mom, my friend
Holly and now another friend, Kathy. Don't worry, I have no intentions of abandoning Barbie and the sale of my
handmade Barbie clothes. In fact, I just added some new items this spring and have more planned. I just wanted to
diversify a little and make clothes for 18 inch dolls using my own collection of American Girl dolls for models. I enjoy sewing for the American Girl dolls very much because it gives me an excuse to play with mine by trying the outfits on them.
And you know the old "don't put all your eggs in one basket" saying! Pretty
much any store out there became the good store that it is by having more
than just one type of product.
Barbie and her pals are more than happy for me to take on another venture like this especially when they know that I will keep sewing for them and that I have my Mom helping me whenever she can.
After all, Barbie and American Girl Dolls are technically sisters--they are
made by the same great company!
I have a seamstress friend Holly who is sewing for Kitt's Kloset along
with me and my mom. Another friend named Kathy has also joined me. Right now I am kept extremely busy with your regular orders so a big thanks for all your support and your future orders! Barbee and Friends and Kitt's Kloset will march into the future together!

December 2009: Don't worry, the site looks pretty much the same. It's just living in a
different place in cyberspace but the address is the same. I have tried to
make any and all links coming to the site still come here so that if you
surf in from a search engine, you should land on the page you were aiming
for--or something similar. Please do let me know if you have any difficulty
whatsoever.
I have discontinued making the small tote bags because I just simply lost
interest in them. They sold halfway well at craft shows so the only reason
they were ever on the site to begin with was that I had them left from
shows.
The best thing about having a different
web host
is that now I am using a shopping cart that will help PayPal users a lot
more. If you like to use PayPal for payment, you will be taken right to your
PayPal account during checkout so you can pay for your order right away.
This
shopping cart
is also 128 SSL and very safe to use. It's been around for a long time and
countless businesses are using it.
